Sterling Ranch is one of Colorado's fastest-growing master-planned communities, in northwest Douglas County on Titan Road near Chatfield Reservoir and C-470. It was still small at the 2020 census (about 1,800 residents) and has grown quickly since, with new homes going up across active subdivisions. Most of the local work is construction and trades: framers, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers stay busy as the community builds out. The Sterling Ranch Resident Resource Center employs event staff, fitness instructors, and administrative personnel. New retail along the main corridor is adding food-service and customer-service jobs as the population grows, and schools coming online are creating education positions.
