Radiation Therapist Part Time Days

About the Role

As a Radiation Therapist, you will evaluate prescribed imaging, document treatment information, and ensure patient positioning and treatment parameters are accurately followed. Your role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to facilitate patient care and maintain equipment standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates prescribed imaging and documents treatment information in the electronic record.
• Reviews treatment parameters and verifies consistency prior to patient treatment.
• Performs Quality Assurance on treatment equipment and addresses malfunctions.
• Maintains department supplies and provides educational experiences for students.
• Participates in on-call coverage and performs treatment calculations as needed.
• Observes and documents patient responses during treatment.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year of experience as a radiation therapist preferred.
• Registered Technologist – Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records and treatment plan software required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations tactfully.
