Pharmacy Technician - PRN

About the Role

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. This role involves tasks such as non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, and preparing unit dose drugs.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-sterile compounding tasks
• Stock automated dispensing cabinets
• Prepare unit dose drugs
• Deliver medications to patient care areas
• Check medication storage areas for outdates
• Complete billing duties

Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent)
• High school diploma
• Must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months if hired with a provisional certificate
