Breast Sonographer

About the Role

This position involves performing breast sonography and ensuring the quality of imaging results. The role requires critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Positions patient and performs screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Assists physician with performing interventional procedures.
• Prepares equipment and supplies, implementing safety standards.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes as appropriate.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) certified in Mammography (M) and Breast Sonography (BS).
• 6 months of experience in Mammography or Breast Sonography.
• BLS certification must be valid through at least sixty days of hire.
