About the Role

The Manager of Laboratory Services oversees the daily operations and ensures the department meets its strategic goals. This role involves managing staff and budgets while also ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing departmental goals and objectives to support organizational strategy.
• Manages staff relations, including performance management and conflict resolution.
• Monitors departmental budgets and oversees vendor relations.
• Assesses service quality and coordinates with external laboratories as needed.
• Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
• 2 years of related experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
