The Surgical Technologist demonstrates the skills necessary to function effectively during surgical procedures. Their role includes preparing the surgical environment and assisting the surgical team while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating proper aseptic technique
• Preparing instruments and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assisting surgeons during operations
• Following and implementing hospital policies and procedures
• Educating staff and patients about procedures and instrumentation
• Maintaining a clean and sterile work environment.

Requirements

• Vocational School Graduate
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
