About the Role
The Foreclosure & Default Resolution Manager leads foreclosure activities and late-stage default servicing strategies across the mortgage portfolio, ensuring compliant, timely and member-focused resolution of non-performing loans. The role manages vendors and legal partners, oversees the REO portfolio, ensures compliance with Fannie Mae and regulatory standards, and leads a team responsible for foreclosure processing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stages of foreclosure including referral, timeline management, sale and post-sale activities
- Ensure adherence to investor requirements (Fannie Mae, FHA, VA) and state foreclosure laws
- Manage Canvas's REO portfolio and short sale administration on mortgage loans
- Manage foreclosure attorneys, trustees and vendor partners for performance and compliance
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs and scorecards and provide executive-level reporting
- Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for foreclosure processing and default execution
Requirements
- Regulatory and investor compliance expertise (Fannie Mae, CFPB, NCUA)
- Default servicing strategy and execution experience
- Vendor and legal partner management experience
- Strong data analysis and performance reporting skills
- Leadership, coaching and team development experience
- Advanced Excel skills and pre-employment background review
