Infection Preventionist

About the Role

The Infection Preventionist will lead the infection prevention program, ensuring effective surveillance, prevention, and control of infections. They will collaborate with various departments to maintain optimal infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an infection prevention program.
• Collaborate with departments for effective infection control.
• Conduct surveillance and report data to NHSN.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
• Train and educate staff on infection control practices.
• Review and modify policies based on research findings.

Requirements

• Current Certification in Infection Prevention and Control preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MSN or MPH preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in a hospital setting required.
• Knowledge in hospital epidemiology principles and infectious diseases.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with varied personnel.
