Patient Care Assistant

About the Role

In this role, you will deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse. You'll have the opportunity to contribute positively to the patient experience while working in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a healthcare provider
• Gathers vital signs and measures blood glucose
• Assists patients with personal care and daily living activities
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the care area
• Models proficiency by precepting new staff
• Collaborates with ancillary team members for patient wellness

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
• Ability to work full time on rotating shifts, including nights
