About the Role
The Economic Crime/At-Risk Prosecutor will work under the Organized Crime Unit to prosecute financial crimes and crimes against at-risk adults. Candidates should have strong analytical, communication, and legal skills to handle complex cases effectively.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare and litigate cases in the District Court for the 23rd Judicial District
- Provide law enforcement agencies with legal advice, including rules of evidence and criminal procedure
- Perform quality legal research
- Draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and pleadings
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree
- At least three years of experience as an attorney at law
- Two years of experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases in court
- Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado at the time of application
- Preferred five years of experience as a prosecutor
