About the Role

The Economic Crime/At-Risk Prosecutor will work under the Organized Crime Unit to prosecute financial crimes and crimes against at-risk adults. Candidates should have strong analytical, communication, and legal skills to handle complex cases effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and litigate cases in the District Court for the 23rd Judicial District
  • Provide law enforcement agencies with legal advice, including rules of evidence and criminal procedure
  • Perform quality legal research
  • Draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and pleadings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

  • Education: Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree
  • At least three years of experience as an attorney at law
  • Two years of experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases in court
  • Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado at the time of application
  • Preferred five years of experience as a prosecutor
