Pretrial Intake Officer - (CJS Officer I)

About the Role

In this role, you will conduct interviews with defendants at the Douglas County Detention Center to verify important information. Your work will support the court's decision-making process for setting appropriate bail bonds.

Responsibilities

• Review arresting documents and determine individuals needing bond reports
• Interview defendants to gather relevant information
• Input data into various criminal information systems
• Analyze case events for risk assessments
• Respond to after-hours GPS issues and communicate effectively

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred
• One year of experience in the criminal justice system
• Combination of education and experience may be considered
