Educational Assistant (EA IV) - Student Specific (1:1 Support)

About the Role

The Educational Assistant provides essential support to ensure the student's safety and access to instruction throughout the school day. This role involves direct 1:1 assistance in various settings and requires flexibility and professional judgment to meet the specific needs of the student.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close proximity with the student for safety and health needs.
• Provide personal care assistance in a dignified manner.
• Implement the Health Care Plan, including nursing tasks like medication administration.
• Execute the Behavior Intervention Plan consistently across settings.
• Collect and accurately record data on the student's progress.
• Facilitate peer interaction and assist with transitions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for implementing IEPs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex student behaviors.
• Willingness to assist students with personal care and mobility.
• Ability to lift and transfer students with appropriate training.
