Discovery Technician

About the Role

The Discovery Technician works with various forms of confidential information governed by state and federal law. The role involves collaborating with law enforcement to ensure timely discovery and managing digital case files.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and examines digital case files for discovery purposes.
• Works closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure timely receipt of all discovery.
• Logs requests, copies/scans, and reviews discovery files to ensure completeness.
• Collaborates with attorneys, law enforcement personnel, paralegals and legal assistants on discovery matters.
• Researches and contacts necessary parties for additional follow-up on discovery.

Requirements

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of general office experience; one (1) year of experience in legal or law enforcement preferred.
• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire.
• Completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting is required.
