About the Role

The Economic Crime/At-Risk Prosecutor will work directly with the Organized Crime Unit to prosecute financial and white-collar crimes. Applicants with skills in communication, accounting procedures, and data analysis are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and litigate cases in the District Court for the 23rd Judicial District
  • Provide law enforcement agencies with legal advice, including rules of evidence and criminal procedure
  • Perform quality legal research
  • Draft memoranda, motions, briefs, and pleadings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

  • Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree
  • Experience as an attorney at law, including experience prosecuting or defending criminal cases in court
  • Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court
  • Preferred two years of experience as a prosecutor
  • Jury-trial experience in federal, municipal, or state court
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills
