Campus Security Specialist

About the Role

The Campus Security Specialist provides a positive role model for students while developing and promoting positive relationships with them. This role monitors activities to maintain campus safety and ensures that school policies are upheld for a secure learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor visitor access during school hours to ensure only authorized persons enter.
• Supervise students’ activities at assigned locations and enforce parking regulations.
• Enforce Student Conduct and Discipline Code and other school rules.
• Assist law enforcement and District Security with policy enforcement regarding controlled substances.
• Watch for disturbances and assess danger to ensure safety on campus.
• Intervene in fights or disturbances to restore order.

Requirements

• One to three years job related experience, preferably in law enforcement or adolescent supervision programs.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid/CPR Certification - Colorado.
