Accounting Supervisor (General Finance)

About the Role

This highly responsible role involves supervising and training assigned personnel and collaborating with the Assistant Finance Director for the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. The Accounting Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and Chart of Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train assigned staff
• Collaborate with the Assistant Finance Director
• Prepare and publish the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
• Work with auditors
• Assist Finance leadership in supporting new governmental accounting standards
• Establish and maintain Finance Department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field
• Four years of professional level experience, including one year of supervisory experience
• Governmental accounting experience
• CPA with audit experience is highly desirable
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check
