About the Role
The role involves ensuring compliance with stormwater regulations during all construction phases. The inspector will work closely with developers and contractors to uphold the Town's commitment to quality public service and environmental protection.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) inspections.
- Coordinate with public works and building department staff on TESC duties.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and provide data to the Stormwater Specialist.
- Issue notices of non-compliance and recommend stop work orders as necessary.
- Conduct compliance inspections on new and existing stormwater infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide junior inspectors on inspection methods.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2-3 years of related construction experience for Stormwater Inspector.
- 5 years of related construction experience for Senior Stormwater Inspector.
- Valid Colorado driver's license.
- Certified Stormwater Inspector (CSI) or Certified Inspector in Sediment and Erosion Control (CISEC).
