About the Role
The role involves managing various accounting tasks, including reconciliations and assisting with audits. Employees will also provide support to the finance staff and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Reconciles balance sheet account activity and resolves errors and outstanding items.
- Assists Human Services staff with expenditure submissions to the State and reconciles revenue payments from the State.
- Provides year-end analyses on Human Service programs for Single Audit preparation.
- Processes payment vouchers, journal entries and other administrative duties for the Finance department.
- Assists grant managers with sub-recipient monitoring for grant awards as required.
- Performs general ledger research and purging documents in compliance with the retention policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Accountant I: Two years of accounting or finance experience required.
- Accountant II: Three years of accounting or finance experience required.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting.
