Castle Rock Dinner Club: common questions

Where in Castle Rock do the dinners happen?

Downtown Castle Rock — on or just off Wilcox St — at locally-owned restaurants we love. Recent hosts: Union An American Bistro, The Block & Bottle, Wide Awake Eatery, Scileppi’s at The Old Stone Church, Homegrown Tap & Dough, Courtyard Social, Bien Y Tu, and 105 West Brewing.

Where is the after-party?

Right downtown — walkable from every dinner spot. We deliberately pick after-party venues close to the restaurants so attendees can leave dinner, walk a block or two, and keep the night going with the rest of the tables. Recent homes: Wide Awake Eatery and Union An American Bistro.

How do you match the tables?

When you sign up, you fill out a quick 2-minute quiz — age band, interests, what you’re looking for, even fun stuff like picking the emoji that best represents you. We seat 6 per table around overlapping interests and what you’re hoping to get out of the night. Couples can request to sit together.

Singles dinners or couples dinners?

Both attend the regular Dinner Club — singles, couples, and new-to-town locals. For an all-couples table (no singles mixed in), we run a separate Couples Dinner at Union in Castle Rock.

Are the restaurants locally owned?

Yes — supporting locally-owned Castle Rock restaurants is the whole point. Every venue in the rotation is independently owned, and a lot of our regulars say the best part is discovering a new spot they hadn’t tried before.

Is parking easy in downtown Castle Rock?

Yes — free public lots and on-street parking along Wilcox St. Most attendees park once and walk to both the restaurant and the after-party (1–2 blocks).

What does dinner cost?

$19.99 reservation fee to hold your seat. You order off the restaurant’s menu and pay the restaurant separately for your food and drinks. Most Castle Rock venues run $25–$50 a head for dinner + a drink.

Is there a community for past attendees?

Yes — anyone who’s attended a dinner gets added to our private DougCo Social Dinner Club Facebook group. That’s where alumni keep in touch between events, share spots they’ve discovered together, and get early word on the next dinners.
