The Patches
Douglas County has exactly two — one big agritainment farm, one old-fashioned homestead patch. They complement each other more than they compete.
Lone Creek Farms — Franktown
- Sep 25 – Nov 1 — the longest pumpkin season in the county, running past Halloween.
- $23.95–$27.95 admission, kids 3 and under free, per the farm's own hours-and-pricing page — covers the corn maze, hayrides and farm activities.
- Pumpkins are separate: $6–$16 depending on size, per the farm.
- This is the full agritainment day out — plan a few hours. It also answers the "franktown pumpkin patch" question: yes, it's the one.
Gilly's Pumpkin Patch — Castle Rock
- Fridays & Saturdays only, three weekends: Sep 25–26, Oct 2–3, Oct 9–10, 10 a.m. to dark, per the family's own ticket page.
- $5 per person / $20 per family — the county's budget pick by a mile.
- A family-run patch on an original 1889 homestead at 1433 Lake Gulch Road, specializing in unusual pumpkin varieties.
- Note the short window — its last day is Saturday Oct 10, three weeks before Halloween.
Where's Parker's patch? Gone, for good — Flat Acres Farm announced on its own Facebook page in October 2023 that its Fall Festival, corn maze and pumpkin patch are permanently closed. Lone Creek Farms in Franktown is the closest replacement, about 15 minutes south of town on Highway 83.

Worth the Drive
Just past the county line — verified at each organizer.
- The Patch — Kiowa (Elbert County, ~30 min east of Parker): Fall Festival Sep 19 – Oct 31, Saturdays & Sundays 10 a.m.–6 p.m. plus fall break Oct 15–16. $27.95 ages 3+, 2 and under free, no ticket fees — one admission covers the 10th-anniversary corn maze, hay wagon, ice skating and a dozen-plus activities; pumpkins priced by size on the way out. Tickets are online-only, and there's nothing haunted on purpose.
- Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms (Littleton, Jeffco): Oct 9–11, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. — the Denver Botanic Gardens' 10-acre patch with wagon rides and a corn maze. $14–$22, kids 2 and under free, timed-entry tickets online in advance. The separate corn maze — a Colorado 150th-anniversary design this year — runs Fridays–Sundays, Sep 18 – Nov 1.
- Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns (Hudson Gardens, Littleton): Select nights Sep 18 – Nov 1 — a glowing evening trail of thousands of hand-carved pumpkins at 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive.
