Phlebotomy Laboratory Assistant

About the Role

At HCA/HealthONE, we recognize the important role our Lab Departments play in our success. We are seeking a Lab Assistant to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

• Organize and effectively manage specimen procurement and processing areas.
• Provide age-related techniques in specimen collection and care across various populations.
• Communicate with hospital departments, physicians, and laboratory personnel regarding specimen collections.
• Obtain blood specimens and perform general laboratory duties.
• Answer inquiries regarding specimen collection and procedures.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy program preferred
• Experience in a hospital laboratory is desired
• Good customer service and communication skills are essential
• Basic computer skills are needed.
