Medical Assistant I

About the Role

This position requires direct patient care and support under the supervision of healthcare providers. The Medical Assistant I will contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly care environment while effectively communicating with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a nurse/healthcare provider
• Gathers vital signs and assists with specimen collection
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the care area
• Performs administrative duties including data entry and scheduling
• Communicates changes in patient condition
• Models proficiency by precepting new staff

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory
• 3 years of Medical Assistant experience or graduated from an accredited program
• CMA or RMA certification needed
• Proficiency in administrative and clinical tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
