Medical Records Specialist

About the Role

As a Medical Records Specialist, you will maintain the facility’s medical records in an accurate manner while supporting the company’s mission. Your role includes ensuring compliance with medico-legal requirements and facilitating communication between the surgery center and transcription services.

Responsibilities

• Perform collection, processing, filing and maintenance of medical records
• Arrange all chart forms and correspondence reports in appropriate order
• Uphold a checkout and return system for medical records
• Ensure confidentiality and security of documents
• Obtain missing chart contents to complete medical records
• Serve as a liaison between the surgery center and transcription company

Requirements

• Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality
