Infection Preventionist

About the Role

The Infection Preventionist is responsible for the prevention, detection, and control of infections in the facility and oversees the infection prevention program. They establish and maintain systems for evaluating and reporting infections in patients while collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to optimal infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility surveillance and the prevention and control of infection.
• Collaborate with departments to uphold infection control practices.
• Conduct surveillance and report data to NHSN.
• Train staff on infection control protocols.
• Review compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control preferred.
