Experienced Civil Designer - Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers

About the Role

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join its Digital Delivery and Civil Production team. You will be part of a rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects throughout the country.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop preliminary and final design plans for roadway, drainage, and utility projects
• Participate in design reviews to evaluate concepts and recommend improvements
• Utilize civil engineering design software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer, and Civil3D
• Prepare progress reports and produce documents using Microsoft Office
• Ensure compliance with DOT and company CAD standards
• Lead small teams of designers on assigned tasks and projects

Requirements

• Associate degree in CAD, 3D modeling, drafting, surveying, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in CAD design and plan production for roadway, drainage, and utility projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D and 3D)
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, and Revit preferred
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and materials
• Strong critical thinking and planning skills
