Senior Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

This position involves teaching and training Pharmacy Technician Associates, new Pharmacy Technicians, and interns while participating in safety and quality improvement projects. It also includes assisting with the development of departmental policies and training program materials.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares medication for dispensing in accordance with hospital policies.
• Drives safety and quality improvement projects for the department.
• Assists with the development of departmental policies and training programs.
• Manages medication inventory and audits department policies.
• Teaches and trains pharmacy technicians and interns.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience.
• State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Certification through a nationally recognized board.
• PTCB/ASHP Sterile Compounding Tech within one year of hire (if inpatient).
