MRI Technologist I PRN

About the Role

The MR Tech in this position works independently but is supported by an MRI Tech Assistant. Patient volume averages 9-10 per day, with each appointment scheduled for 45-90 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality imaging while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology utilizing proper diagnostic imaging protocols.
• Assists Provider with procedures as necessary and follows established procedural guidelines.
• Follows department policies, procedures and protocols, addressing any non-compliance concerns.
• Demonstrates initial and annual competency in MRI safety.
• Facilitates patient flow daily and provides age-appropriate care to patients.
• Operates all MRI equipment following safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology program.
• Registered Magnetic Resonance Technologist ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT-MR certification.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
