Medical Assistant I Float Pool

About the Role

This position is an onsite role providing direct patient care under the supervision of a healthcare provider. The Medical Assistant will be part of a dynamic team, improving lives through patient-centered care and by partnering with various healthcare specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care such as gathering vital signs and specimen collection.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the care area and medical supplies.
• Performs administrative duties including filing, scheduling, and patient registration.
• Assists in communicating changes in patient condition to the healthcare provider.
• Models proficiency by precepting new team members.
• Contributes to the safety and quality of care at the point of service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3 years of Medical Assistant experience or graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA).
• BLS or CPR certification must be current within sixty days of hire.
