About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Leading a large, geographically dispersed GNC team in partnership with NASA on the Orion Program.
  • Managing budget, schedule and technical content of all GNC products
  • Developing and maintaining the GNC team by performing tasks related to employee recruitment, training, performance assessment, and work assignments.
  • Preparing and presenting technical and programmatic topics to Program Management and the NASA customer.
  • Manage all GNC related Program specific tasks including providing support for related Central Engineering Initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership skills for a high performance engineering team balancing technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Familiarity with GN&C subsystems and systems engineering processes and experience in applying those processes.
  • Experience with Guidance, Navigation and Control planning and execution for the design, development, implementation, verification and testing algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of space systems.
  • Familiarity with GN&C Subsystem architecture, verification and testing of GN&C flight software and hardware.
  • Familiarity and experience in cost control account management (CAM).
  • Ability to balance various risks across the subsystem to maintain cost within a fixed schedule environment.

Benefits

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
