Surgical Scheduler

About the Role

The Surgical Scheduler plays a critical role in facilitating surgery appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with various departments smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for surgery and complete facility paperwork.
• Obtain necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
• Call designated departments with information for add-on cases.
• Prepare and send reservations for each case scheduled within established timeframes.
• Maintain hospital schedules through various methods.
• Assist with orientation of staff members as needed.

Requirements

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required)
• 3+ years in a healthcare setting (Required)
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Required)
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff (Required)
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices in the healthcare industry (Required)
