Educational Assistant IV - Early Childhood Education - Highlands Ranch Floater

About the Role

The Educational Assistant IV provides support to preschool-age special education students by assisting in their instruction and addressing their medical and personal needs. This position may require travel based on student need and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescription medication to students as needed.
• Assist with materials preparation and implementation of interventions and strategies under the direction of the teacher.
• Document health-related services for Medicaid reimbursement as assigned.
• Communicate and interact appropriately with students, families, and school personnel.
• Assist students in non-classroom settings, which may involve lifting children and equipment.
• Support classroom set up/clean up and lesson plans under the direction of the teacher.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (Required)
• CPR Certification - American Heart Association
• First Aid Certification - American Heart Association
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong detail orientation and time management skills.
