Educational Assistant I

About the Role

The Educational Assistant I supports teachers in the instructional process by assisting students with their lesson assignments. This role requires interaction with various community members to promote good relations while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom assignments to support instruction.
• Assist students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments.
• Administer minor first aid for immediate healthcare needs.
• Mediate student conflicts to ensure a safe educational environment.
• Report observations and incidents relating to specific students.
• Monitor individual and/or groups of students in various settings.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent (Required)
• First Aid & CPR Certification - Colorado
• Ability to lift between 5 to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for 90 minutes
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
