Certified Surgical Technologist FT Days

About the Role

In this role, you will facilitate a high standard of surgical support, ensuring that surgeons and nurses have everything they need during surgery. You will also monitor aseptic techniques to guarantee safety and compliance within the surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Monitors aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and takes immediate corrective action for any breaks in technique.
• Identifies and reports environmental concerns to management and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and policies.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Provides assistance and support to members of the surgical team as needed.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS)
• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic skills related to aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• 2+ years of technical experience in the field is preferred.
