The Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation hosts a stargazing evening at Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space with help from the Denver Astronomical Society, weather permitting. Gather on the lawn at dusk just after the New Moon to view the night sky through members' telescopes. Free to attend; a $20 donation per person is suggested. Children ages 10+ welcome with an adult. Bring a blanket and a red-light flashlight; hot cocoa provided. Entry only with an authorized guide.

Castle Rock's largest open space. 681 acres, 10 miles of hiking trails, hoodoos and canyon cliffs. No dogs or horses. Bikes on roadways only.
