Hometown Rodeo at the Douglas County Fairgrounds

The Hometown Rodeo is a free, family-friendly kickoff to the 2026 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, held Saturday, July 18 at 3pm in the Fairgrounds outdoor arena in Castle Rock. Watch local amateur riders compete in classic rodeo events including barrel racing, pole bending, cowhide races, and a variety of roping events. Admission is completely free for spectators, so get there early to grab a seat in the outdoor arena. Food and beverage vendors will be on-site for competitors and spectators. It is a great free warmup ahead of the full Douglas County Fair & Rodeo, which runs July 24 through August 2.
