Downtown Castle Rock Holiday Carriage Rides

The Downtown Castle Rock horse-drawn carriage rides return for the 2026 holiday season, running Wednesday through Sunday from November 22 through January 3 (no rides November 26, December 24, December 25 or December 31). Wednesday through Friday rides run 4:30 to 8:30pm and Saturday and Sunday rides run 5:00 to 8:00pm.

Carriages pick up in Festival Park by the big tree and the route loops the core of downtown where the holiday lights are up. Rides take 8 to 15 minutes, and most are about 10 minutes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $55 for the entire carriage, which seats four (in some cases two adults and three children under 10). Split four ways that works out to about $13.75 a person, and the Castle Rock Downtown Alliance covers the rest of the cost with sponsorship from Castle Rock Autoplex. One ticket may be purchased per person, and 570 rides are available this season. The online sales link posts on the Downtown Castle Rock Facebook and Instagram and on their carriage rides page; a limited 75 in-person tickets are sold at the Philip and Jerry Miller Library outside Event Hall A, first come first served. The horses come from Kodiak Ranch, and rides run rain, snow or shine.
