Colorado Renaissance Festival — 49th Season
The biggest annual event in southern Douglas County by attendance. 8 weekends running Saturday June 13 through Sunday August 2, 2026. Joustingthat sold out for the first time in nearly 50 years in 2025 — plan ahead for 2026.

Larkspur Music in the Park — 6 Free Friday Concerts
Free Friday-evening concerts on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of June, July, and August at Larkspur Community Park (8820 Spruce Mountain Rd). 6 to 8 p.m. Free admission, $10 donation encouraged for the featured nonprofit each show. Bring a chair and a blanket. Food trucks and giveaways on-site. Hosted by the Larkspur Chamber of Commerce.

Larkspur is in southern Douglas County, between Castle Rock and Monument. Take I-25 to exit 173 (from Denver) or exit 172 (from Colorado Springs). Most Larkspur summer events are within a 5-minute drive of those exits.
Is Larkspur Music in the Park dog-friendly?+
Larkspur Community Park is generally dog-friendly. Bring a leash and clean up after your dog. The Chamber's Music in the Park has not published a specific dog policy for 2026, but in past years, dogs have been welcome.
