Respiratory Therapist

About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist at AdventHealth, you'll follow regulatory requirements and provide critical patient care through various respiratory therapy treatments. Your role will include participating in interdisciplinary rounds and assisting with specialized procedures to ensure optimal patient support.

Responsibilities

• Follows regulatory requirements in the blood gas lab, runs quality control tests, and changes analyzer cartridges.
• Documents interdisciplinary education and plan of care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and provides input to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Assists with bedside bronchoscopy procedures.
• Performs respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per provider orders, department policy, and recognized standards of care.

Requirements

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) required
• Associate's in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science required
• Critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• 1+ years as a certified respiratory therapist preferred
