About the Role
As a Phlebotomist I, you will collect blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques and ensure they are properly labeled and processed. This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
- Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Performs additional tasks as necessary or assigned.
- Conducts clerical functions and lab processing.
- Assists with point of care testing and EKG.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- BLS or CPR card must be in-hand before start date.
- No prior experience required.
