Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the Role

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will demonstrate knowledge of treatment modalities for patients of all ages. You will perform all duties required for the assigned shift, ensuring quality care for patients requiring respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of techniques and treatment modalities for patients of varying ages.
• Follows best practices to reduce potential medication errors.
• Documents all pertinent data on the patient’s medical record after completing service.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understanding the purpose and possible side effects of each.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities for the assigned shift.

Requirements

• Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
• Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments.
• Critical thinking and patient assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate and modify plan of care.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
