Recreation Attendant (PT)- Child Care

About the Role

Under general supervision, this position provides patron services within assigned program or facility areas, including childcare and climbing wall divisions. It maintains order and safety in the program area, monitors participants, completes required documentation, and responds to emergency situations. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-line, day-to-day services in childcare and climbing wall divisions
• Maintain order and overall control in the assigned program area and monitor participants
• Monitor and maintain the appearance, functionality and safety of facilities and program areas
• Respond to emergency situations and assist in evacuating the program area
• Maintain adult/child ratios and find coverage for missed shifts
• Report suspected abuse cases to the supervisor and appropriate governing bodies

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Two years of experience with children preferred for childcare
• Experience with general cleaning and facility maintenance preferred for climbing wall
