Lead Sterile Processing Technician

About the Role

This position serves as the shift charge person and ensures instrumentation and equipment availability. The technician prioritizes work and oversees infection control measures, ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift charge person in the absence of department leadership
• Monitor staff use of PPE in the decontamination area
• Operate complex sterilization equipment and select correct methods
• Communicate effectively and use the chain of command to resolve issues
• Monitor sterilization practices and take corrective action

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent (Associate preferred)
• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) or CSPDT
• 1+ years experience preferred
