Environmental Services Technician Full Time Days

About the Role

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and visitors. Your role will involve various cleaning tasks, including disinfecting surfaces and managing waste in accordance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient and public areas daily and sanitize all surfaces
• Demonstrate knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
• Stock paper items, cleaning solutions, and supplies in assigned areas
• Collect and stage soiled linen for pickup
• Dispose of normal and biohazardous waste
• Use the Bed Management system to maintain bed throughput

Requirements

• Organizational, verbal, and customer relations skills
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills (read, write, and speak English)
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of environmental services equipment and chemicals preferred
