Bakery/Deli Clerk

About the Role

Prepare bakery and deli items to customer requests, offer samples, inform customers of specials, and keep the department stocked, clean, and within food-safety guidelines at the new King Soopers Store 175 on Prospector Lane.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items to customer requests using proper equipment
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
• Provide fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per company guidelines
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Follow food temperature logs and food safety regulations

Requirements

• Customer service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to obtain a current food handlers permit once employed
• Bakery or deli experience helpful but not required

Compensation

• Hourly: $19.40 - $26.35/hr
