Registered Nurse Emergency Room

About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition and treatment plans.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Anticipates patient needs and strives to resolve them proactively.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN desired.
• 1 to 2 years acute care/specialty nursing desired.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado or current multistate license.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date.
