About the Role
Under general supervision, the Lateral Police Officer performs a wide variety of police and law enforcement duties. Responsibilities include traffic and field patrol, investigations, crime prevention, community relations, and public safety activities.
Responsibilities
- Patrols a designated area and enforces laws
- Detects and prevents criminal activities through surveillance
- Investigates and gathers evidence
- Responds to public disturbances and emergencies
- Interacts with citizens to resolve community concerns
- Maintains police equipment and uniforms
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- POST Certification
- Completion of Colorado POST Certified Academy within last 24 months
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
- CPR and First Aid Certification
