Endoscopy Tech Part-Time

About the Role

As an Endoscopy Tech, you will assist under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse, ensuring the care of patients during procedures. Your responsibilities will include maintaining sanitary conditions and preparing the endoscopy unit for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit and ensure necessary equipment is available.
• Clean and prepare GI treatment rooms between procedures.
• Assist with the maintenance and labeling of specimens.
• Identify and pass specimens to the circulating RN.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One year of experience in GI Tech, PCT, MA, or EMT, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
