About the Role

This role builds on the Patient Care Assistant job and serves as a paid nurse internship. It involves direct patient care responsibilities and requires enrollment in an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse
• Gathers vital signs and measures blood glucose levels
• Performs sterile dressing changes and starts peripheral IVs
• Assists patients with personal care and mobility
• Keeps the care area stocked, cleaned, and orderly

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program
• Proof of completion of Med/Surg I or equivalent program
