Radiologic Technologist I

About the Role

This position involves conducting imaging procedures while adhering to organizational policies and standards. The technologist will work directly with patients, ensuring their understanding and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders, and educates patients regarding procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications as ordered, monitoring patient conditions.
• Prepares equipment, selects appropriate exposure factors, and performs quality control procedures on imaging equipment.
• Positions patients for imaging procedures and analyzes results to ensure quality.
• Utilizes critical thinking skills and works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR must be obtained before the start date.
