About the Role

This position involves reviewing patient history, educating patients about procedures, and preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals. The technologist monitors patient conditions and performs quality control procedures on imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling.
  • Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures while analyzing results and identifying issues.
  • Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or certified in nuclear medicine (NM).
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
